A female eagle in mid-dive. Massachusetts, USA: THESE STUNNING images capture a female bald eagle in descent, diving to pick up the best nest material to protect her eggs. One image shows the female bald eagle in a sharp dive towards the ground, beginning to fold its wings to speed its descent. The bald eagle can grow up to 40 inches long with a wing span of feet and weighs around 14 pounds. The female is typically 25 per cent larger than the male. These images were captured by senior manager and photographer Amr Alarm (37) at Arlington in Massachusetts, USA, using a Nikon D850 camera. ?It was an early cold morning, and the pair of eagles were flying around to get some sticks from the trees and the grounds to continue building their nest, which is normally huge for bald eagles,? said Amr. ?All of sudden, the female eagle landed on a very close tree and started looking for a branch on a tree or on the ground to pick for their nest. ?She looked at the ground and dived in front of me to pick a branch very close by. ?These photos are very special to me since you usually don?t get to see the diving from this direct angle. It looked like a bomber or a fighter jet. ?It is also never that close; this eagle was fearless and determined to get a specific stick. ?It was exhilarating and terrifying at the same time being so close to the eagle. ?Love, respect and protect nature and wildlife. It has been an amazing experience to just observe the behaviour of wildlife, even without a mediadrumimages/AmrAlaarg
