In the 1960's & 1970’s Thetford was home to the TV series Dad’s Army. The TV series Dad’s Army was filmed in and around Thetford. Today visitors can enjoy a trip to the museum in Thetford as well as the statue of the infamous Captain Mainwaring, who's part was played by the actor Arthur Lowe.
