When the tissues are examined microscopic-ally the arrangement is found to be mostvariable ; in some parts the tissues appear to bethose of a normal tooth, whilst in other partsthey are most irregular and complex. These odontomes are found more frequentlyin the anterior part of the mouth. Clinicallythey do not present any special feature, and \\ill The arrangement of the tissues of the wallsresembles the normal, but the pulp-chamberis modified by the presence of a small den-. Gestant Composite Odontomes Gestant conijiosite odontomes are those com-posite odontomes in which a denticle is containedwithin, or surrounded by, the walls of a tooth. These odontomes have been recognized byseveral observers. Ai\ mvestigation into theirmode of development was made by JoseiJhArkovy (2); he speaks of them as odontomainterum . The tooth may or may not presentan external deformity, but the normal form isusually altered in such a manner as to sug-gest an irregular arrangement of the tissues.
