Portrait of Johannes Baptista (I) Christyn. In Brussels to life signed Portrait of the Chancellor of Brabant Johannes Baptista Christyn, Baron van Meerbeck, about 52 years. His name is in the edge text and reference is made to its titles and its role in the Peace of Nijmegen (1678-1679). Under the portrait, coat of arms with two cliffs as a shield holder on either side. On the Piestick in Latin two lines text with its function, death date and cemetery. Above it a line of text once again a reference to its role as a peace negotiator.
