It is quite poorly supplied with coal, as theUpper Freeport sub-group, from which we should expecta good supply, has a very poor developement within itslimits. It is also unfortunate in being—so far as is known atpresent—barren of any oil producing territory. The FourthSand oil belt just reaches its northern line, but does notcross over into the township, and the Millerstown and Third Sand Belt just skirts its eastern boundary line. Many wells have been drilled in this, township south andsouthwest from Greece City in search of a prolongation OAKLAND TOWNSHIP.
