Allen Barber, the promoter of the floral and landscape gardening exhibi- tion which will be held here March 1 to 6, met with the club and gave an interesting talk. The general opinion, however, among the florists present was that the time of year was not favorable for making much of a dis- play; a month later would" have been much better. However, no doubt some of the larger establishments will be represented. The enterprise was heart- ily endorsed. Various Notes. Mrs. L. D. Johnson reports brisk business for Valentine's day. Cut flowers and plants sold well. Mrs. B. Haschke reports good busi- ness in all lines. The Heiss Co. was kept on the jump taking care of the patrons
