Drying storage for Gilliflowers in the Historical Garden Aalsmeer, a botanical garden in North Holland, The Netherlands. This ancient construction called ''Flettehok'' in Dutch is made of rush walls and functions as a an area for storing and keeping sensitive crops of Gilliflowers dry in winter. The Historical Garden is affiliated with the Dutch Association of Botanic Gardens (NVBT) and the Museum Association. The garden aims to preserve previously grown crops, using old farming practices and maintaining and building a collection of objects and materials of horticultural and historical interest. The Historical garden consists of a monumental farm, a floristry, two greenhouses, and old boats, which were used to transport crops into and around Aalsmeer.
