Turned over row boats on a dock act as a contrast within a frozen Burnham Harbor in Chicago. The boats appear to be awaiting for warmer months amidst a completely empty harbor entrapped by winter. Though the ice would be enough to identify the scene with winter, the steam and smoke being emitted by buildings in the skyline are another example of a cold January day. The significant buildings in the scene include the residential One Museum Park, at left, and the commercial giant Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) at right.
