Cultivate the same as Carrots and Parsnips; it is hardy, can remain in the ground all winter for early sjiring use, but should be taken up before it starts growing; take up a supply for use during the winter. Succeeds best in a light, well-enriched, mellow soil. Sow early in the spring in drills 15 inches apart, 1 inch deep, and thin out to 6 inches apart in the rows. Long White.
