The plant grows to a height of 30 inches, and is very thrifty, producing the pods in surpris- ingly large quantities. Pods are large and well filled with Peas, which are remarkably sweet and fine flavored. This new variety matures the crop in sixty-five days, and is ex- cellent for early planting. Concerning this new variety our grower writes us that after testing many new Peas brought out in Europe, the most interesting variety is "Buttercup," which exceeded all others, both in productiveness and high quality. Our own test verifies his statement, and we are now pleased to offer it to our customers, knowing that it will satisfactorily fill the gap between the early wrinkled sorts and the late varieties. The vines make a rapid growth to about 2 feet in height, and are of a medium green color, very healthy, and produce an astonishingly large crop of pods, matured and ready for use in about sixty-five days from time of plant- ing. The pods are long, rounded or curved at the end, and well filled with large peas, which are very sweet and ten- der.
