The cutting of the two femurs was done May 20, 1897. The operation onthe tibias, consisting of taking a V-shaped piece of bone from the anteriorpart, was performed August 21, 1897. (See Figs. 15 and 16.) Case 8.—V. T , three and a half years of age; admitted with a very pronounced deformity of left leg. Osteotomy of femur performed March 10,1897. Wound done up as in the previous cases by sealing with iodoformgauze and collodion wrapped in cotton batting, and the limb encircled fromthe toes to upper end of the thigh with plaster bandages. The cast was 10 DEFORMITIES.
