Fractures of the Malleoli.—Not uncommonly theinternal malleolus is broken without any displace-ment of the ankle-joint, and very little separation ofthe fragments. This fracture requires simple restand moderate fixation and pressure. I prefer totreat this fracture as I would a bad sprain at theankle-joint, viz., by snug strapping with adhesiveplaster.
