Silver and gold-tinsel, are effective for outline work on velvet orplush ; but the work is transitory ; being effected by light and air. Decca-floss, is aslack-twist glossy-silk. It is for pongee-silks, and transparent canvas. For smallpieces of work you can use, as frames, a small hoop. Larger pieces, the * PatentEmbroidery-Frames. Needles are all sizes. There are many kinds of embroiderysilk, in the market; some is rough-finish silk; others smooth, soft-silk. The former,has a stiff and wiry appearance ; and it is not suitable to fine work. PLATE
