Forsythia and cherry blossoms are in bloom at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday, April 20, 2014. Thousands of people make a pilgrimage to the park every spring to enjoy the cherry blossoms as they bloom in this 360 acre Essex County park. Designed by Frederick Law Olmstead in 1867, it contains over 4000 cherry trees surpassing the census In Washington DC. The first trees were originally a gift from Caroline Bamberger Fuld in 1926.
