A recruit from India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, jumps off a platform during the Water Survival Basic Qualification at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 27. After successfully jumping, recruits swim to the next portion of the test. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego.
