Snipe (Gallinago gallinago) long billed short legged wader preening in short stubby cut reed bed at waters edge. Streaky barred brown black plumage.

This snipe was just behind the front panel of a hide at Arundel wwt UK. The sun was bright and made it very contrasty also I had a 150-600 lens on so just got enough distance to focus as it was so close to the hide. The snipe had a good preening session then flew further away.
