Sayomyia trivittata Loew PI. 12,13, 28, flg-. 4; 4 ; 3 respectively This species has been met with at Elizabethtown, where larvae and pupae occurred in a cold mountain pool June 9, adults appear- ing the next day. Dr Dyar records this species from Center Harbor N. H. Osten Sacken's description of the adult follows: Pale yellowish, with three thoracic stripes, the metanotum, fasciae of the abdomen, with apical rings of the femora, and basal.
