It is avery popular species for forcing in winter for cutflowers, and is particularly desirable for plantingout in the open ground for summer blooming. Inthe fall the bulbs may be pulled up and kept dryover winter the same as Gladiolus, etc., or be grownin pots and water withheld when they evince adesire to rest.
