Head 11 times as long as broad; snout rounded, with straight up])er profile, slightly broader than long, a little shorter than postocular jtart of head ; eye 5^ times in length of head, | interorbital widih, a little less than pra^orbital depth; mouth rather large, -|- width of head, extending to between nostril and eye ; teeth in 8 series, 110 in outer series of upper jaw; 4 series of scales on the cheek, width of scaly part a little greater than diameter of eye. Gill-rakers mcderate, 25 on lower part of anteiior arch. Dorsal XVII 13; last spine longest, | length of head ; longest soft ray f length of head.
