A wheelock shotgun, Johann Georg Wisthaler, Munich, circa 1740. Replaced, later shotgun barrel in 18 mm calibre. Rocaille-shaped cut wheellock (trigger spring missing) with signature " WISTALER IN MüNCHE". Defective hair trigger. Carved walnut stock (forearm shortened) with contrasting horn slipcase and brass mounting engraved in Régence style. This wheellock shotgun can be well improved by gentle restoration. Length 106 cm.
