Bronze toggle dated 1st century BC - 1st century AD. Celtic or Romano-British, found with a metal detector near Dover. Believed to have been used to join leather harness straps or as a clothing fastener, perhaps functioning like the toggles on modern duffel coats. c. 35mm long
