A Savoyard small-sword with silver-plated hilt, circa 1770 Thrusting blade of flattened hexagonal section with decorative geometric markings on the lower third. Gilt eagle etched on the reverse side, with the Savoy coat of arms beneath the royal crown, gilt cartouches on both sides of the base containing the inscription "VIVE LE ROI". Rubbed silver-plated brass hilt decorated in spiral relief, grip wound with copper wire and ornamented with Turk's heads.
