It is for young criminalsand first term men. The reformatory is toaccommodate one thousand inmates and willfurnish positions, when completed, for 100employees. The town has good stores, sub-stantial brick and concrete buildings, tele-phone, water and elecrtic lighting systems,banks, and a newspaper. EDMONDSEdmonds, a town of 1,200 people, is lo-cated on the shore line of the Great NorthernRailway, about midway between Seattle andEverett. Many trains from these largercities stop at Edmonds daily. Steamersplying between Seattle and Everett makestops at Edmonds on every trip severaltimes daily. The gradually rising land whichforms the townsite and which is aboutthree miles long and two miles wide, isvery rich soil and garden truck here growsprolifically. Most of the land is adapted tothe culture of berries of all kinds. On thewaterfront are mills and factories. Ed-monds is admirably located for the suc-cessful operating of manufacturing indus-tries.
