C, have installed a new planer and matcher weighing 16,500 pounds. — He^ps & Company, of Vancouver, , are rebuilding the dry kilns at the Ruskin mill, which was destroyed by fire last month. —The Vale-Columbia Lumber Company, Nakusp, B. C, have given notice of their intention to improve the Mosquito Creek for logging purposes. —The name of the Cranbrook Sash & Door Company, Limited, Cranbrook, , has been changed to the Kimberly Milling & Manufacturing Company. —The Bowman Lumber Company, Limited, was in- corporated by the British Columbia Government on March 4th, with a capital stock of $1,000,000. —The new mill of the Canadian Pacific Lumber Com- pany at Port Moody, B. C, sawed its first log on Feb- ruary 28th last, everything working very satisfactorily. —A Mr. Paterson, who has conducted lumbering operations in the state of Maine, has taken over the saw mill at Sydney, , and is now making improve- ments with a view to operating it. —The International Timber Company has been regis- tered as an extra-provincial company in British Colum- bia, with a capital of $500,000. The head office will be at Victoria, C. A. Holland being their attorney. — The Moyie Lumber and Milling Company, Moyie, , are offering their timber limits and saw mill property for sale.
