Indeed, he assumedat first the entire financial responsibility of organizing andequipping the Textile School, and to his devoted and untiringservice in its behalf, from its first inception to its presenthigh state of development, more than to all other agenciescombined, its success is due. That the Association took theaction that it did was mainly due to the example and leader- 19. ship of Mr. Search and a few members who were, like him, fully alive to the importance of the movement, notably, Mr. Thomas Dolan, Messrs. John and Support of James Dobson, Mr. Wm. Wood, Mr. Wm. inanufacturers Arrott, Mr. John Yewdall, Messrs. Fiss,Banes, Erben & Co., Messrs.
