This may be of lysol, i per cent., orbichloride of mercury i : 3000, or alcohol one ounce, with tinc-ture of iodine two drachms to one quart of sterile water. Somesurgeons use a gauze sponge instead of the curette and swab theuterus with tincture of iodine instead of using the douche.
