Light micrograph of a cross-sectioned elastic artery stained with haematoxylin and eosin. Almost the entire wall is formed from the tunica media and so is rich in elastic lamellae. On the outside is the tunica externa, or adventitia. Around the artery are brown adipose tissue lobules.
