St Clement Danes Church, London. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1679,The nave and tower were finished by 1682; above the square belfry is the elegant spire, added by James Gibbs in 1719. Weathervane with cut-out anchor, the symbol of St Clement, who was martyted by being tied to an anchor and thrown into the sea to drown.
