JONATHAN WHITELOCK One of the most enthusiastic and influential members of the Huiitini,rton Christianchurch was born in Fayette county, Ind., July 8, 1830. He, with his parents, movedto Franklin county when he was a small boy, there he lived until manhood when hewent to Wells county where he owned a tract of land. After partlj* clearing this hetraded it for Huntington county land, which he still owns. He was married in Feb-ruary, 1856, to Miss Elizabeth A. Souers, and immediately moved into a log cabinupon his land where he lived for some time. He added to his original piece of land,tract after tract, until he became the owner of one of the largest and best improvedfarms in Rock Creek township. He with his wife lived on this farm until January,1894, when they moved to a new residence he had built in the cit^ of Huntington. Mr. and Mrs. Whitelock were the parents of but one child, a son, O.
