Borras & Holt anti-fracking camp set up to prevent iGas exploratory test drill for coal bed and shale gas at Borras Head
Borras & Holt anti-fracking camp set up to prevent iGas exploratory test drill for coal bed and shale gas on land owned by local farmer Terence Jones of Borras Head Farm near Wrecsam. The camp was set up by anti-fracking protesters with experience of Balcombe and Barton Moss protests, together with local anti-fracking campaigners and supporters. The land is situated close to Gresford Colliery where an underground explosion in 1934 killed 266 men and boys. Only three bodies were recovered and the mine system which part of it runs under the field is viewed by locals as a miners grave.
