The Wettersteingebirge or Wetterstein is located SE of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in southern Bavaria. The compact mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps between Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Mittenwald, Seefeld in Tirol and Ehrwald; extend s partially in Bavaria, Germany and partially in Tyrol, Austria.
