Gov. Ron DeSantis, commander in chief of the Florida National Guard, presents the the Florida Distinguished Service Medal to Mrs. Sophia Calhoun during a change of command ceremony at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center on April 6. Calhoun earned the award for selflessly supporting her husband, Maj. Gen. Michael Calhoun, and the Soldiers, Airmen, civlians and families of the Florida National Guard for more than 30 years.
