Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat in flight
Single-engine American Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat fighters, flying over warsphips of Task Force 58 of the US Navy, in the Pacific, February 14, 1945. They belonged to the heavy combat CV-20 aircraft carrier "Bennington". The Hellcats were engaged in battle for the first time in August 1943, during a raid against Marcus Island.
