"US Marine Corporal Harold Hawkins has his pulse checked by Hospitalman Wiggins after being injured by a Viet Cong rifle bullet on February 2, 1966, in Donang, Vietnam. Corporal Hawkins was quickly evacuated to a safe position where Wiggins provided first aid and called for a medical evacuation helicopter. A fellow Marine stands ready to assist if needed. This photograph was taken by 2nd Lt. Tucker for the Defense Department."
