Sailors stationed aboard the Amphibious Assault Ship USS Wasp (LHD-1) watch an AV-8B Harrier, land on the flight deck of the Wasp flight certification operations, July 16, 2017. Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 231 assisted the Wasp in acquiring flight certifications in preparation for their upcoming homeport shift to Sasebo, Japan where they are slated to relieve the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
