Beach of "Château Rouge", Fort Penthièvre, Kerhostin, Quiberon Peninsula (Morbihan, Brittany, France).


Fort Penthièvre : During World War II, it is part of the Atlantic Wall. From April to July 1944, it serves as a jail, a court summary of the place of execution and mass graves: the 59 resistant scrub Locminé are executed. A monument on the glacis of Fort remember their sacrifice, which is commemorated each year on July 13. Since 1969, the fort is under the responsibility of the 3rd Marine Infantry Regiment stationed at Vannes. He now serves as a training center and initiation commando. Some parts are open to the public.
