Leftpillar—front face: Worship of tree,procession, scenes at fountain. Innerface: Cave temple, procession, treeworship. The Architraves bear scenesof processions with chariots, treeworship, and dagoba worship, and onthe back of giants and of hermitshuts. The floral patterns on the outersides of these pillars are noticeable. East Gateway.—Pillars surmountedby elephants and riders. Right. Section.
