An upside down church, street art by Dennis Oppenheim. Originally installed in Vancouver it was moved to Calgary Canada in 2008.

The upside down church titled Device to Root Out Evil is a controversial example of street art by New Yorker Dennis Oppenheim. Originally displayed in Vancouver British Colombia, it was moved after 2 1/2 years when residents of the Coal Harbour neighbourhood complained that the more than six-metre-tall (and wide) installation blocked their scenic view. Other residents said it simply offended their Christian beliefs to see a church turned upside-down. The Park Board agreed. It was subsequently loaned to the Glenbow museum and moved to Calgary Alberta in 2008
