Novo-Ekaterininsky hospital on Petrovsky Gates square of Moscow
Novo-Ekaterininsky hospital on Petrovsky Gates square of Moscow. The building was built circa 1780 as a town house of prince Sergey Gagarin. An aristocratic English club was located in the building in the beginning of the 19th century. The club and the building are mentioned in the novel War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. Later the public Novo-Ekaterininsky hospital and a number of other hospitals were located here. The building is under the reconstruction now.
