Porcelain Cupolas of Grand Prince Igor Church (Peredelkino)
Colorful porcelain cupolas (domes) with gilded crosses of the new Cathedral of Grand Prince Igor of Chernigov in Peredelkino (a south-west suburb of Moscow city) on a sunny winter day. The unique stone cathedral was consecrated by His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All-Russia Kirill on June 17, 2012. The onion-shaped cupolas of the beautiful church in Peredelkino, the countryside residence of Russian Patriarchs, resembles the famous domes of St. Basil’s Cathedral on the Red Square. It covered with porcelain using special new technologies that were developed in St. Petersburg.
