King Albert of Saxony (1828 - 1902) - an honorary hunting hanger 1901, Pipe-backed blade with yelmen, smith mark "Hörster Solingen" on the reverse, blade slightly pitted and stained. Brass knuckle-bow hilt with guard, the grip embellished with mother-of-pearl inlays, pommel with hunting scenes in relief and sculpted stag's head. Applied mother-of-pearl medallion with the crowned cypher "A". Later leather scabbard with brass mountings and by-knife with mother-of-pearl grip panels. Length 65 cm.
