An African Red-eyed Bulbul, Pycnonotus nigricans, perched in a bare thorn tree against the pale blue winter sky in Augrabies National Park, South Africa. The African Red-eyed Bulbul, also known as a black-fronted bulbul, is a songbird of the more arid regions of the west Southern Africa. It is easily identified by its orange-red eye wattle.
