Clear white hard paste, invested with aglaze of soft, delicately mottled turquoise-blue, which extendswithin the interior of the neck and underneath the foot. Height. 11 inches. 283—Cherry-red Globular Bottle {Kang-hsi) With tubular neck. Coated with a monochrome glaze of mirror-quality in cherry hue, the rim and interior of the neck glazedin pure white. Has carved teakwood stand embellished with green ivory. Height, IQi/, inches {with sUind, 13l^ inches).. 284—Mottled Lapis-blue Globular Bottle-shaped Vase {Kang-hsi) Pure white sonorous porcelain, coated with a fluent glaze ofwaved and mottled blue in lapis-lazuli tones and markings fromthe white-glazed rim to the perfect foot. At the base of theneck the glaze discloses a circle of gray-moss-agate quality,streaked with the darker blue mottlings. Penciled beneath thewhite-glazed foot: Ta-Ming Kang-hsi nicn-chih. Heiyht, 11% inches. 285—Dark-blue Bottle-shaped Vase {Cliieu-hing) Ovoid body, with sloping shoulder and short tubular neck. Cov-ered with a glaze of deep, dark, purplish-blue, varying to azureand marked on one side by mottlings of malachite and the greenof the washed turquoise.
