PHILIPPINE SEA (June 12, 2018) Sailors treat simulated injuries during a mass casualty drill in the hangar bay aboard the Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), during CORE 1. CORE 1 is an annual inspection conducted to evaluate the ship's ability to train for and combat casualties. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
