Knossos Crete Greece


Knossos is the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on Crete and was probably the ceremonial and political center of the Minoan civilization and culture. The ruins at Knossos were discovered in 1878 and the remains of a whole city state uncovered. The remains include huge decorated and painted pots and wall paintings and frescoes.
