Mr. Quinlan has some excellent cycla- mens and carnations. Mr. Dwyer, the manager, says they will grow two large houses of peas this season. Charles Browne, the Eich street flo- rist, has the finest asters in the city. His chrysanthemum plants promise a rich crop. The decorations for the opening of the roof garden of the Onondaga hotel were furnished by W. E. Day & Co. This company has a splendid showing of Boston and Teddy, Jr., ferns. Werner Bultmann has had a large number of funeral orders. He has had an attractive window display of gladioli. A delivery automobile has been pur- chased by Bard & Davis. The roses shown by this concern are unusually good. Lester Baker, of the Baker Floral Co., spent his vacation at Fourth lake with his motor boat. At the green- houses the men are cutting Golden Glow chrysanthemums. The company has 25,000 mum plants, consisting chiefly of Bonnaffons and Eatons. The mums find a ready market, as do the field- grown carnations. George Phelps has an exceptional lot of Primula obconica in 5-inch pots. His carnations are doing splendidly. H. F. B.
