Private Robert J. Bailey, Platoon 3267, Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, waits to fight during body boxing at Edson Range, Weapons and Field Training Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dec. 2. To ensure their safety, recruits were given protective gear to help shield them from certain strikes from their opponent. Four recruits were assigned to help dress the next recruits in line to fight.
