Joyce Grove House, a Jacobean style mansion, was built in 1904 by Robert Fleming, the grandfather of James Bond novelist, Ian Fleming. Built of red brick with Bath stone dressings, Joyce Grove was designed by the architect Mallows (1864--1915) of Bedford and London.
