Romanesque capital Santa Giulia Bonate


Romanesque capital Basilica of Santa Giulia in Bonate, Begamo. Today only the apsis remain used as chapels, the rest being open air. It's existence is certain in the twelfth century on the site called Lesina. The vault of the apsis was painted in fresco by Baldassarre and Vincenzo Angelo Orelli in 1795. The fresco is visible in the background of the photograph.
