Pierre de Courtenay or Peter II of Courtenay, Emperor of Constantinople, died 1219. He wears a helm, suit of chainmail, sleeveless tunic, and is mounted on a white horse. He holds the oriflamme and escutcheon with his blazon (coat of arms): three red roundels on a gold field with blue label. Handcoloured copperplate drawn and engraved by Leopold Massard from French Costumes from King Clovis to Our Days, Massard, Mifliez, Paris, 1834.
